In 2009, having recognized the need for a more fluid, founder friendly, collaborative work environment for originators to conceive and launch new companies, Polaris Partners founded @dogpatchlabs in San Francisco.<br /><br />At inception, the initiative like the fledgling startups it was trying to support was rough and ready - some desks and chairs, a few bean bags, a coffee machine, a microwave and broadband.<br /><br />The thesis at the time and today has however remained steadfast – like minded, like driven teams working side by side in a co-working environment will drive innovation faster, more effectively and will form in of itself a community of entrepreneurs that will catalyze and drive the ‘at-large’ startup and technology community...
