ChalkTheVote was built to foster collaboration and engagement in large classrooms where such collaborative rapport would otherwise be prohibitive.
Built from the ground-up as a live-classroom-platform, ChalkTheVote allows classrooms, or groups, of any size to ask questions using either a laptop or mobile device. Questions are displayed, to users and the instructor, in a live feed that allows users to quickly vote on questions that they feel would add to the discussion. Questions with the most votes are displayed at the top of the live feed to emphasize the most frequent questions shared by the group. Instructors can use this live-feed of questions, displayed on a browser window or mobile device, as a discussion-roadmap, more accurately steering a discussion towards the needs of the group.
