Conweigh
Go Back Location: Brisbane, QLD, Australia Industry: Logistics Stage: We have traction
The supply chain and export shipping industry rely heavily on stationary or space-hogging and expensive equipment to weigh containers and other large ocean cargo.
Mobile equipment such as cranes are too bulky and large to transport around, and the problem with stationary equipment is the sending of the item for weighing to it—a process not only taxing on time, money, and effort, but also places anything and anyone involved in the additional transport and handling at risk.
With a new maritime law that requires shipping containers and other cargo for sea export to arrive at port with a Verified Gross Mass (VGM) weight certificate, the demand for weighing equipment use spiked, but to manufacture more of these large weighing equipment is not the solution.
