The Buhay shoes are made from recycled and enhanced rice bags, natural rubber, and rice husk. "Buhay" means life in tagalog (Philippines). For every pair of shoes sold within retail or online, those proceeds goes towards rebuilding broken down rice fields, people that desperately need shoes, and creating food as well as jobs for the people. The way these shoes are constructed is by using an oragami method. Meaning much more durable than stiching. No chance for it to unravel.
