Mysereal is an online serial number database. You can store all serialized items you have as well as the value and status of these items (ie stolen, lost, for sale, owned). Your friends can see your items if you choose to make them public, but all lost or stolen items are public. If a phone is lost someone can see your phone reported as lost in the "community bowl." Also, in case of fire or other natural disasters, you can print out a paper with all your items and their worth. Finally, people can sell their items on here and companies can pay to advertise new items. I hope that whenever someone tries to sell something to a pawn shop, they search the serial number on my site to see if the owner has reported as stolen or not. I also hope that if you buy a new tv from Walmart or Best Buy, that before you even get home, the tv has been put in your sereal bowl from the company's account. I want parents to tell their kids when they get a new iPod or 3DS, "Put that in your sereal bowl."
