Jamtok is a gamified education platform aimed at the $58 billion worldwide language learning market. It uses addictive games and entertainment content (e.g. popular music) to address the 3 reasons traditional language education fails to engage language students: 1) they are not motivating enough, 2) they teach the wrong material, and 3) they do not expose people to the real thing.
We focus on the largest language learning opportunities in the US and abroad, by offering an attractive supplement to formal language studies at Universities, or via programs like Berlitz. We plan to take advantage of the migration from printed materials to digital, a migration being expedited by various government mandates. Currently, digital language study represents only 3-4% of the market. We expect this to shift dramatically over the next several years. Our opportunity is worldwide, but we believe the best prospects are for English-language learning (67% of the market) in Asia and Latin America.
