Yellowdig is like reddit for a classroom. We think classroom learning can me more engaging if students shared all the cool stuff they find on a daily basis with their peers and collaborate. Students can share that awesome paper, cool hack, article or blog, video or picture you just came across that your peers may find useful. This is a far better approach than cluttering in-boxes, and students can build influence that counts. Yes, we are building a influence based learning economy for every classroom in this planet.
We are in private beta at MIT and Wharton School where we have seen very good engagement. There is a big opportunity to get this to spread by having students adopt this in their classes, and virally pull in other classes. We also invite professors to create global boards that can be followed across universities.
