YadaZing helps English learners become fluent in the real English they need to know at their own pace. Most self-paced apps like Rosetta Stone and Duolingo focus on getting learners to basic proficiency (i.e. memorizing the first 1k words) through canned content created for English learners.
We systematically expose the learner to hundreds of different voices, accents, and vocabularies in context using real video content. We curate interesting, bite-sized video clips, ranging from movie clips to TED talks, and turn them into English lessons automatically. Learners play games to assess their level and challenge them to recall and use the new phrase or concept to mastery.
We are building collections to help learners internalize and use everyday English (e.g. slang, idioms) and English for specific purposes (e.g. academic, business, and more).
We are on a mission to help every proficient English learner, rich or poor, practice everyday English every day.
