We are building an end-to-end solution and mobile application for spherical (360˚) video. Unlike panoramic still images, spherical video bridges the gap between virtual reality and video. Our process consists of filming content with a special multi-cam rig, which can see in every direction, stitching the footage together, and then uploading the finished video to backend hosting service. The video is then viewable on our 360˚ mobile app and eventually the Oculus Rift, which utilize gyroscope technology and allow users to look up, down, and all around a scene. We are also working on proprietary facets of this technology that will further our ability to impact other markets, such as virtual shopping.
[While other players in the space focus on the pillars of camera hardware and editing software, we are creating the "YouTube" or end-user platform for viewership. We’ll also facilitate studios, advertising agencies, and eventually everyone with the technology to shoot spherical content.]
