We have multiple aims with this system. Primarily we wish to reduce wastage by retail sector on "must go" goods and we aim to unite shoppers with the best deals in their locality. The system also provides an easy way to notify interested shoppers about promotional stuff being given out. Also the system take the demand and supply of a product into consideration and gives a fair idea to the seller to increase/reduce his price based on shopper's expectations of the price.
The core aspect of the system is the Karma Points which is awarded to both merchants & shoppers. Merchants are given karma points based on the number of deals they have, the amount of discount they’re giving, and the actual price of the product. In addition there is a rating system through which the customers can rate the merchants and their deals. This rating will also affect their karma points. Shoppers can earn Karma points by buying and rating deals and can use Karma Points to score better deals from merchants.
