The Grid puts graphic design tools into the browser and then publishes those easy-to-develop canvases into The Grid's social network (or to Facebook and Twitter). The idea is what Instagram did for consumer access to fun/quality photography, we're doing for graphic design and rich websites. Users create canvases using their own photos from Facebook, Flickr and Instagram, videos from YouTube videos, songs from Soundcloud or just their own writing in The Grid's rich text editor. Users share and follow other users, brands and themes with the same mechanics of Twitter. The platform also lends itself to developing native advertising for brands to share their products.
