TechScratch sits somewhere between Elance and StackOverflow. We're a community for web and tech professionals to get help with tasks that fall outside their expertise.
Members post tasks, offering a bounty of TechScratch points to whoever completes their task. The helper can in turn use those points to post something they would like help with.
Everyone saves time by focusing on their strengths and outsourcing their weaknesses. And we avoid lower-quality bidders (ala elance/freelancer.com) by removing the profit motive. Just people who enjoy what they're doing.
Business model is a subscription for premium features; featured listings, extra points, multiple tasks, etc.
