Superfan Media is a media and publishing company that identifies undervalued stories, finds authors to write them, and provides full editing, social marketing and publishing services. We also identify additional revenue streams about the book topics, like conferences or adventure tours.
Research: We analyze potential book topics for three major qualities. One, a large group of "superfans" who are likely to buy a product. Two, aspects of the story that haven't been widely told. And three, interesting "legs" that suggest revenue streams beyond the core book, like adventure tours or a dedicated app.
Social: We will blog about the books as the research is being done. We will comb social networks like Twitter and Reddit to talk to superfans about the projects. And we will market projects using the best practices of the social/mobile Web.
First product: The initial "product" of Superfan Media will be a research project and subsequent book about Michael Crichton.
