Stepic is an educational engine with theory and quizzes.
Stepic’s lessons are step-by-step guides shown in a separate player.
Users navigate lesson’s steps directly through this player.
Quiz steps are automatically checked:
- choices (checkboxes and radiobuttons),
- number answers,
- free answers,
- string answers checking particular words,
- dataset assignments,
- code executing,
- peer review.
All lessons are organized in courses and can be tagged or nonlinearly structured.
Users could compile its own class from available lessons or add private lessons if necessary.
They invite assistants and students and monitor all the statistics: lessons’ or students’ progress, total points received, wrong tries, time spent.
Stepic content is UGC-based.
All users are able to edit lessons if they have permissions, i.e. the author of the lesson lets users who solved all the lessons in the course to edit them.
There are also community courses where anyone could contribute.
