SoundFIt's new SugarCube(TM) 3D desktop scanner is aimed at clinical, office, home and point of sales applications.
Industrial 3D Scanners tend to be big and cost $5000-$50,000. Hobbyist scanners are smaller, but still generally cost $1000-$2500. And most 3D scanners, whether for industry or hobbyists, capture only the shape of the object being scanned. SoundFit’s scanners are small enough for any office and capture objects in high resolution and with full color texture maps, at a low manufacturing and operating cost.
And we have found an entry market that is desperate need for this cost and feature combination, which we are currently entering: the audiology market.
