ShutterClass allows photographers/filmmakers to host workshops to teach others, and drive additional value out of the content by filming/editing and then selling/subscribing the content. ShutterClass gets revenue on all parts of the transaction - the supplier (instructor), partner (content capture), and consumer (attendee)
ShutterClass works by:
- Helping photographers/filmmakers/instructors organise workshops to teach other pros and amateurs
- Filming and editing the workshop content (using partners)
- Hosting the filmed content for trailing revenue
ShutterClass also acts as a workshop/online photography/filmmaking education aggregator, as current education options are not well organised or curated.
Finally, ShutterClass has existing partnerships and interest in being the source for professional associations to manage their Continuing Professional Education (CPE) accreditation programs.
Market is global - DSLR sales are accelerating, demand for education the same.
