Social fitness, led by the brand Crossfit, has grown at over a rate of 100% per year for the past five years. Their premiere event, The Crossfit Open, is a four week online, worldwide competition that has grown from 26,000 participants in 2011 to more than 120,000 participants in 2013. There was a $20 fee to participate in The CrossFit Open. Our website looks to expand upon this model by offering a continuous, year long, platform for online athletic competition.
Anyone can participate in the online competitions by submitting their score at our website. If they want to compete for prizes or cash rewards, they have to submit a video of themselves performing the workout. While many competitions will be free, we plan on partnering with brands and charities to offer paid participation contests.
