We will produce un-aged “moonshine” distilled liquors. The success of the business will be the distillation methods and unique recipes. The key is the process by which distillation will occur producing a full flavor, robust liquor, by using time tested traditional pot still distilling techniques to ensure the true flavors of the alcohol. Producing a full bodied corn whiskey, rye whiskey, and rum is Old Red Canoe’s objective. No distillery currently in operation in Pennsylvania uses this traditional pot stilling technique. This makes Old Red Canoe unique, and creates a niche market for the company.
Old Red Canoe will use honey spiced flavoring to decrease the distillate to the correct proofs. After the pot distillation process, alcohol is produced at 180 proof. The use of the honey spiced flavoring will bring this high proof to a more reasonable 80 and 35 proof. This means Old Red Canoe will have the ability to capture both the traditionalists market and the casual drinkers market.
