Modern object relational mapping systems like Hibernate have improved the process of saving data in object oriented software, but the recent popularity of NoSQL databases demonstrates an appetite for solutions to some problems which remain. What developers need is a persistence mechanism which is fully transparent (so that they can focus on the underlying functionality of the software) and agile (so that persistence concerns don't slow down the rapid software evolution which emerges from modern development methodologies). Storing objects using a domain independent database schema combined with a tool to version the object graph would provide developers with a better option than existing approaches. MySafetyProgram seeks investors to develop an open source domain independent java persistence binding and a proprietary schema evolution tool for use with that binding. The open source component will help draw developers to the platform driving sales of the proprietary component.
