1. SketchRec is a patent-pending product for recognition of graphics and text in image sketches. The SketchRec 1.0 SW, released on Jan. 1 '14, enables rapid transition from an initial design sketch to a presentable entity (no need to redraw). The output vector representations allows for seamless explorations of variations of a key design idea (enhanced creativity). It also provides means for fast identification and visualization of complex 2D or 3D design files (simple mining).
2. The Ecosystem for e-Design assumes students or entry-level engineers bring, or receive, a tablet PC at the beginning of a design project. They carry out all of their design work on the tablet, share selected design solutions with their teammates, and communicate with their mentor. The software automatically assesses the quality of the design work, relative to a given design process, and provides prompt alerts as necessary. Only CAD learning tool capable of assessing all 5 stages in the design process.
