Transforming country borders into dynamic and vibrant spaces of trade, cultural exchange, value and wealth generation through innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.
Borders are usually conflict areas, disconnected from the rest of their countries and wealth generating processes.
But borders include most of the elements required for innovation and growth: contact and flow of people, goods, services, ideas and perspectives; opportunities for alternative combination of resources; low cost of import/export.
Our pilot in the Dominican/Haitian border seeks to generate US$1 million, connecting both countries, Asia and the USA. We have:
- engineered a collaboration agreement between the Information Technology chambers of both countries.
- organized in Singapore a panel on Investment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Opportunities between Asia, Latin America and Caribbean.
- organized an innovation workshop with Stanford.
Next steps: Africa, Middle East and Asia.
