DailyThemes is a social writing platform for users to improve their writing. The website is modeled on a writing course that has been taught at Yale for more than a century, in which students are required to write everyday and receive feedback.
Users are encouraged to write 100 words a day on our free platform. They can post incognito by adopting multiple pen names, allowing unskilled, diffident or image-conscious writers to experiment freely. In addition, we offer limited feedback on their writing.
An upgrade will allow users to receive detailed reviews from experts, upload longer submissions, and receive examination-specific feedback to help them prepare for the IELTS, TOEFL, etc. Our target market includes all non-native learners, including 350 million English learners in China. Our blogging approach to learning will enable us to serve as a bridge between non-English and English platforms, enabling Weibo users to eventually participate in English-medium platforms such as Twitter.
