Crumbdrop’s goal is to do for photos what YouTube did for video.
We connect users’ static photos and instantly turn them into watchable, playable geolocated content we call trails. Our technology uses a fraction of the costs and infrastructure of true video. The initial plan is to focus on travel, the fastest growing mobile vertical along with photography.
Our next phase is to create a robust searchable platform where users can find public trails that match their interests. Those trails can be played, shared, rated, and reviewed.
We believe Crumbdrop can be leveraged for two major uses: (1) Bringing users and advertisers closer to the point of sale and (2) creating a Big Data engine that is rich in highly targetable data.
