Food is not a homogeneous concept. The nutritional value of different products ranges wildly and this impacts the health of populations, in both urban centers and rural areas. This is why a country which does not have hunger, can have nutritional deficiencies, the later are much more damaging since are hard to detect, and often are originated by eating habits and culture, not just lack of income.
In order to solve this problem a new way to produce and distribute food must be put in place. Canaan seeks to this by adapting various "super-foods" to the hydroponic method of cultivation, then moving production from its indigenous location closer to the sources of demand.
On such food is quinoa, which has picked the attention of consumers in recent years and it will be the plant Canaan adapts to hydroponics for global consumption first, building the necessary experience and contacts in order to introduce other products to global markets and new consumers.
