Mission Statement: Bodega Vida introduces the American wine drinker to moderately priced Spanish varietals focused primarily on Albariño and Carignan.
Starting Position: Bodega Vida will start out as a custom crush produced wine label with approximately 15 tons of Albariño and 15 tons of Carignan. The Albariño will be a light and fruity white with low amounts of residual sugar due to a cold fermentation. The Carignan will be pressed early at the end of a cool fermentation to keep it lighter in both color and tannin and brighter in red fruit aroma and flavor. Bodega Vida will begin by selling solely in California.
Future Plans: Once the label starts to become known and marketing of the label becomes popular, a dry Garnacha Rosado will be introduced at about 15 tons of grapes. After five years with a particular varietal, production of the respective wine is expected to be doubled and be able to ship to other states, specifically Texas and New York because of their market potential.
