Blu-Bin aims to establish a nationwide franchise chain of stores, offering digital fabrication and classes that serve as customer recruitment, brand reinforcement, and training for future franchisees.
On September 16th, 2013, after a year of operation, Blu-Bin opened a larger location and is fine-tuning its offering to meet dramatically increased demand.
Revenue streams are 3D printing, 3D scanning, and CAD modelling fees. Customers include small and large companies, prototyping shops, makers, inventors, hobbyists, and the DIY community.
You can think of Blu-Bin like the Kinkos of 3D printing, where all the customer has to come in with is an idea for an object.
