Blib is a privacy friendly sharing platform that lets you organize your media and share it with friends and family. It allows users to keep their data physically with themselves (self-hosting), and seamlessly migrate it to the cloud or their own hardware. Currently it supports books and photo albums, and is under alpha testing - in the cloud as well as on windows/linux/mac/android. (Note: Technically this is considerably harder than doing this just in the 'cloud' - or as a regular web application)
It lets a user own their media and host it in their office, house, cloud or a place of their choice. They can access it from anywhere, anytime - securely and privately. No one but the user has access to their data. From social networking, to email, to media libraries, this private platform is designed from the bottom up, keeping privacy in mind.
1% of the internet user base that cares about privacy strongly, and which is a growing chunk of the population.
