Awe is a system in which users can evaluate people in real time in a number of contexts. Users can associate media content, live-streams, web articles, Facebook posts or Tweets to such contexts. Watchers/listeners/readers can then rate and watch a graph of participants of said contexts.
Our goal is to get people to use the system (mobile, website, plugins) impulsively - with instantaneous and multiple evaluations and no writing – and much more frequently than they tweet about something. Picture sport events, political debates or reality shows that broadcast real-time graphs for their most popular players, tying those to actions happening locally at that moment.
This provides incredibly useful data that is much more structured and richer than Trending Topics as we only deal with people in hierarchical, discrete contexts. Not to say the suggestion engine this kind of data can feed.
